Back To The Youth

All I ever wanted to do was just get into the music

and take my body to a show where I could abuse it

and I know that's reckless and hedonistic

but let's be realistic this will all be over soon

So let's use it to lose it, let's take back the music

We'll relive it and give it back to the spirit of the youth

And I don't give a shit about what you know about music

what you know about the industry of how we distribute it and choose it,

but I'm wasting all my time networking online

I'm still looking for unity, some say D.I.Y.

some say there's no such thing as 'Do It Yourself',

there won't be anybody else

to knock you down, to pick you up

to knock that beverage out of your cup

was it half empty or half full when I threw it?

Back to the youth

Back to the spirit of the youth,

to the kids that don't have a thing to prove,

can you hear it, hear it speak the truth?

Can you hear it speak to you?

Sometimes I can still hear them singing, singing about a riot

as if they like to try it just for fun

no regard for sacrifice, no one's getting organized

I am reminded we're only getting nothing done
