Don’t leave me is all I hear you say

Somehow it keeps me from all the plans that I’ve made

Your promises sparkle, I tell myself not to believe

The things that I want lose out to the one that I need

We both know there’s only so much a person can take

So some of us learn how to live with what we know we can’t fix
