Wind And Tears

I'm sitting here trying hard

To figure out

How, where, when they first met

Was it under the moon

Or near a campfire

Not getting close to soon

Grandpa asked Grandma

For the last dance

Living a newborn romance

They've been together

For over 50 years

Against wind and against tears

Against wind ...

Through all the years

That they've been together

Through shine and rain

They stood tall

Giving all they could

To raise the family

The way I surely would

The years have gone by

And I stand here, so grateful

For all the love that I've seen

The gift of music

And there so many

I thank you both eternally
