How can you say there's only one way up?

You know there's a million ways down

Some folks are falling, others trying to get up

I'm the one staggering around

How can you lay there when you got to get up

When other folks are going downtown?

Some of them flying out or making a bus

How can you say it's just beginner's luck

When a kid picks up on the sound?

I'm flipping and a-floppping, don't know which way is up
